Description:
Gilenya (fingolimod) is an oral medication used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) in adults and children aged 10 years and older. It works by reducing the frequency of flare-ups and delaying the progression of physical disability associated with MS. Gilenya helps to prevent immune cells from attacking the central nervous system, thus reducing inflammation and nerve damage.
Ingredients:
- Active Ingredient: Fingolimod Hydrochloride (0.5 mg per capsule)
- Inactive Ingredients: Mannitol, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Hydroxypropylcellulose, Gelatin, Titanium Dioxide, Yellow Iron Oxide, Red Iron Oxide
Usage Instructions:
- Follow the dosage prescribed by your healthcare provider.
- The typical dose is one 0.5mg capsule taken once daily.
- Swallow the capsule whole with water.
- Take the capsule at the same time each day, with or without food.
- Regular monitoring of heart rate and blood pressure is recommended when starting the medication.
- Do not stop taking Gilenya without consulting your healthcare provider.
