Description:
Nuvaring is a flexible, transparent vaginal ring used for contraception. Once inserted, it releases a steady, low dose of hormones that effectively prevent pregnancy. It is convenient and discreet, offering a monthly alternative to daily oral contraceptives.
Ingredients:
-
Etonogestrel (a synthetic progestin)
-
Ethinyl estradiol (a synthetic estrogen)
Usage Instructions:
-
Insertion: Insert the ring into the vagina, where it will remain in place. The exact position is not crucial, as long as it is comfortably placed.
-
Duration: Leave the ring in place for 3 weeks.
-
Removal: After 3 weeks, remove the ring and dispose of it.
-
Break: Follow with a 1-week break during which you will have your menstrual period.
-
New Ring: Insert a new ring after the 1-week break to start a new cycle.
-
Special Considerations: If the ring is expelled from the vagina, rinse it with cool water and reinsert it as soon as possible. If it has been out for more than 3 hours, use a backup contraceptive method until the ring has been in place for 7 consecutive days.
Benefits:
