For adults and children over 40 kg, the usual dose is 250-500 mg every 8 hours or 500-875 mg every 12 hours.

Special Considerations: Shake well before use. Measure the dose accurately using a medical spoon or oral syringe. Complete the full course of the antibiotic even if symptoms improve to prevent the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
