Description: Sifrol 0.7 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS). It contains pramipexole, which is a dopamine agonist that helps alleviate symptoms by mimicking the effects of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that is deficient in Parkinson’s disease. Sifrol improves motor function and reduces symptoms such as tremors, rigidity, and restlessness.
Ingredients:
- Active Ingredient: Pramipexole dihydrochloride monohydrate (0.7 mg of pramipexole per tablet)
- Other Ingredients: Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, and other excipients.
Usage Instructions:
- Take Sifrol exactly as prescribed by your physician.
- For Parkinson's disease, the typical starting dose is 0.375 mg three times daily, which may be gradually increased based on response and tolerability.
- For Restless Legs Syndrome, the usual starting dose is 0.125 mg once daily, with potential adjustments based on the effectiveness and side effects.
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew.
- If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
- Regular follow-up with your physician is important to monitor effectiveness and adjust dosage if needed.
