Description: Travatan Eye Drop is a prescription medication used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It helps to prevent damage to the optic nerve and potential vision loss by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor from the eyes.
Ingredients:
- Active Ingredient: Travoprost 0.004%
- Other Ingredients: Polyoxyl 40 hydrogenated castor oil, boric acid, mannitol, sodium chloride, and purified water.
Usage Instructions:
- Administer one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening.
- Wash your hands before using the eye drops.
- Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
- Squeeze the bottle gently to release a drop into the pocket without touching the dropper tip to the eye or surrounding areas.
- Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes and press your finger gently on the inner corner of the eye to prevent the solution from draining into the tear duct.
- If using other eye medications, wait at least 5 minutes between applications.
